Coopertition® Alliance Tournament

Energy Wizards is organizing its 2nd Wizards Coopertition® Alliance Tournament for teams as a fundraiser for kids with special needs.

ALLIANCE TOURNAMENT RULES

We ask that, in the spirit of Gracious Professionalism®, ALL teams participate.

Trophies will be awarded to the winners of the Alliance Round.

This year's competition will follow the FLL Submerged℠ Rules.
There will be just one Alliance Round on the competition tables, following the same FLL Robot Game rules with the following variations:

The pairs of teams will work together on a single table as an alliance.
The allied teams will make alternating runs on the table using their own robots. Each time a robot returns to base, or is rescued, the other team's robot must make the next run.
Robots do not have to launch from the same Homes; technicians may move between home zones (directly contradicting the Robot Game Rules).
Four team members (two from each team) will be allowed at the table at one time. Teams can switch out operators if they so choose.

Prior to the tournament, teams will be paired randomly and informed prior to the start of the tournament.
Teams are encouraged to contact their alliance partner to discuss their strategy.
“Strategy” could consist of the order of the runs (which team's robot goes on the first run), which missions each robot will attempt, and in what order the missions should be attempted. Teams may also want to share programming ideas and try something new with their robot for the alliance round.
At the end of the Alliance Round, the scores will be tallied, and the winners will be determined.
